2016 Sunscreen Roundup

So many of you have asked for natural sunscreen recommendations for your little ones, and we're happy to share!

Here's a roundup of our 2016 favorites for the summer:

1. Blue Lizard Baby is one of our very favorites — it somehow feels so similar to a traditional (chemical) sunscreen, but is completely natural and safe for your baby! It rubs in smooth and easily, and is on the thinner side for a natural sunscreen, making application without white streaks a breeze. The best part: the bottle changes to bright pink when exposed to UV rays so you'll know when you need to apply!

2. If you're looking for a spray sunscreen, we love Babyganics. It's naturally white instead of clear and requires a little rubbing in to get an even application, but we can't beat the versatility of being able to use a spray bottle instead of a tube on a wiggly toddler. The best part: it's also water-resistant and tear-free for sensitive faces.

3. Babo Botanicals makes a clear-zinc sunscreen that's a favorite for park days, and smells like apples. (They also have a fragrance-free version!) The formulation really does rub in clear, so you won't have a white film all over your baby's face. The best part: it's always easy to spot the green tube in our diaper bag.

4. Bare Republic makes an excellent creamy, water-resistant sunscreen that rubs into skin quickly. The tube is great for full-body application, but the stick is our favorite for faces because it doesn't leave a greasy residue. We keep it in our bag for quick and easy reapplication while on the go. The best part: it smells like coconut vanilla!

Stay sun safe, and enjoy your summer!
