EWG Ratings

We take great pride that all of our Tubby Todd products are made to be 100% natural and safe for your little ones. But we know there are still some ingredients on our labels that you probably don't recognize. Like what is Sodium Lauroyl Methyl Isethionate and how safe is it?! (Answer: it's a mild cleanser that produces excellent bubbles and also softens the skin.)

EWG (the Environmental Working Group) is a non-profit organization who empowers consumers to live healthier lives and make better choices as consumers. While we haven't been able to go public yet on EWG's (Environmental Working Group's) Skin Deep Cosmetics database, we're excited to share links to our product ratings below. We're pleased with the results and we know you will be too!

I have the same question. Also including the Sodium Lauroyl Methyl Isethionate.

Love your products and want to use them all over our family…but first just doing some research on the ingredients. Great that the overall score is a 2!! Could you elaborate more on the ingredients that scored a 3 or 4 and why they are in your washes and lotions? Not trying to challenge just want to get educated on the need for them. PHENOXYETHANOL, POTASSIUM SORBATE, TOCOPHERYL ACETATE (this one especially seemed a little concerning), SODIUM BENZOATE (all scored 3 & 4 – moderate hazard).
Do you have a blog post that goes through each of your ingredients and explains them??
Thank you for making your product and I’m really just trying to educate myself, not trying to pry or say anything negative! Appreciate any info :)
