As Father's Day approaches, we're switching up our beloved "Mama Minute" series to spotlight an incredible dad in our community. We sat down with Joe Gonzales, the founder of Brooklyn Stroll Club—a growing community that's bringing fathers and their little ones together in the Big City. What began as one new dad trying to figure out parenthood has evolved into a community where fathers connect over the messy, rewarding, sometimes overwhelming experience of raising kids in the city. We talked with Joe about fatherhood, his favorite family spots in Brooklyn, and what it takes to build strong community.
We met up with Joe and the Stroll Club in Brooklyn for some good, clean fun on the go. It's communities like this that remind us why we do what we do!

What's the most ridiculous thing you've found yourself doing to make your baby laugh?
I've done a whole performance to the Bluey theme song for about 30 minutes before bath time to get us through.
What's been the most memorable Brooklyn Stroll Club meetup moment so far?
Our spring meetup at Pier 57. Seeing over 100 dads and kids come together, dancing to live music with the city in the background that was a special moment.
What Tubby Todd product has been a game-changer in your bathtime or skincare routine with your little one?
The Everyday Lotion for us is truly our every day moisturizer and the Lavender Rosemary scent is perfect for bed time.
What’s surprised you most about fatherhood?
How much I’m learning about myself in the process. It’s not just raising him it’s re-raising parts of me, too.
What's the last baby-related thing you googled?
I can't think specifically but I trust ChatGPT more than myself sometimes.
Best spots in Brooklyn to hang out as a fam?
Stop by my favorite coffee shop Honey Bird then head down to Domino Park for a stroll and a view, Saturday mornings at McCarren Park are always great too.
Describe your dad style in three words…
