Expert Mama: Good for the Swole Shares an Outdoor Summer Workout

Tubby Todd Mama Blog

We're launching a brand new series featuring expert mamas! Meet Becky Williams of @goodfortheswole, our first expert mama who will be sharing fitness tips and workouts throughout the year. First up is an outdoor workout for the end of summer that's easy (we promise!) and will help you feel strong, healthy and ready to take on the day with those little ones!

From Becky:

Summer's warm weather makes it easier to get in some outdoor exercise, and here is a great full body workout to take advantage of that! You can do this whether you're at the park with your kids, or on vacation—no equipment necessary! All you need is your body, good tunes, and some kind of bench or step. This is a HIIT workout—meaning high intensity interval training. It is amazing for fat burning and boosting the body's metabolism, and the great news is that you don't have to do it for very long!

FULL BODY HIIT WORKOUT
Repeat the first exercise as many times as you can, with good form, for 30 seconds. Rest for 30 seconds, and do that exercise for another 30 seconds. Repeat each exercise 3x before moving onto the next exercise. This is a tough one, but you are STRONG, Mama!

1. In + out jump squats
2. Toe taps
3. Decline spider push-ups --> modify with knee push ups on the ground if needed!
4. Jump squats --> modify with regular squats if needed!
5. Snap jump + shoulder taps
6. Tricep dips + leg raise
7. Box jump + burpee
8. Incline glue bridge marching
