Lavandula Angustifolia

Pronounced: "Lah-van-dula Angus-te-folia"

What it is

Lavender have been used for centuries because of it's myriad of benefits.  This magical plant acts as an anti-inflammatory for irritated skin, promotes relaxation, conditions and heals damaged skin, and it smells delicious, to boot!  We use two forms of Lavender in our Tubby Todd Products, Lavender Oil and Lavender Extract. Lavandula Angustifolia Oil carries the medicinal and healing properties, while the Lavandula Angustifolia Extract is used mainly as a "fragrance.*"

Where We Use It

Lavandula Angustifolia Extract

We use Lavender extract in our Hair & Body Wash & our Bubble Bath
To obtain an extract, the plant parts may be cold pressed, macerated or soaked in a liquid, such as alcohol, in order to isolate, or extract, a quality or flavor from the plant. Extract from Lavender Flower.  When you smell our Hair and Body Wash, or our Bubble Bath, it's because of the yummy Lavender Extract.

Lavandula Angustifolia Oil

Our Hair & Body Wash, Everyday Lotion both contain Lavender Essential Oil.  A plant's essential oil must be obtained through distillation. The liquid that is distilled off is called the plant essence, and the very small amount of volatile liquid that is left behind is the essential oil. It takes a large volume of plant parts to obtain a small amount of essential oil, which is why they are typically more expensive than regular liquid extracts.  The Lavender Oil in our products helps to promote relaxation, conditions skin/hair, and heals damaged skin. It also acts as an anti-inflammatory.

**We only use essential oils scent our products, never artificial fragrances.**
