2 Common Skin Care Ingredients That Are Actually Toxic

1. FRAGRANCE: Legally, fragrances can be kept “proprietary” or secret. We don’t think that’s fair to our customers, so we share as much as we can with you about our fragrance blends. They’re natural and made with pure essential oils and extracts from plants. Most products you'll find on the shelf, including baby products, contain synthetic fragrances. Many scientific studies have found that fragrances “have been associated with allergies, dermatitis, respiratory distress and potential effects on the reproductive system.” EWG.org labels fragrances as an 8/10, which tells us it’s something to steer clear of. You won’t find synthetic fragrances in Tubby Todd products—ever.

2. PARABENS: Parabens have been used in many skincare products since the 1950s, but studies show they’re not the safest choice as a preservative. Parabens score a 7/10 on EWG.org because they mimic estrogen—they’ve been found in breast tumors and have been linked to reproductive issues, early onset puberty, and low sperm count. (Good news! You won’t find parabens in Tubby Todd.)

Tubby Todd is squeaky clean! We’ll always be free of toxins, parabens, sulfates, preservatives, and BPA. No artificial colors or fragrances, either. Find out exactly what clean ingredients are in Tubby Todd soaps, lotions, and bath products, and why we use them!
